We all know how easy it is to celebrate all the big things that happen in life. However it’s just as easy to forget about all of the small wins along the way. Oftentimes we look at setbacks as stumbling blocks instead of stepping stones along the way to success. Another example could be, let’s say falling off or getting bucked off a horse…. Ya, that’s a good one. When that happens it can make us fearful to get back up and try again.

The longer we wait, the harder it is because the fear compounds and grows over time. However; the sooner we get back up on that horse, the faster we’ll recover. The last example I’ll use will be construction or a detour in the road to where we’re headed. When this happens we can easily loose our cool. What we have to remember is barricades are placed for a reason and 9 times out of 10 if we ignore them we’ll get hurt.

So…. The better thing to do is to take what looks like negative and turn it into a positive. Look on the bright side! See the cup as being half full, not half empty. In other words… Celebrate the Small Wins!!!! Shifting our thinking in this one area will help us to recognize the small wins. Celebrating them EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE will motivate us to push harder and reach our goals faster.

Let’s put some serious effort into this in the next few days and see if it doesn’t make a difference for the better. Please like and share if this encouraged you today. Throw a few comments below and let’s connect. I would love to get to know you better. Thanks for visiting.

  1. Hi, thanks so much for the positive article. It is very easy to forget this, and I try to live by this most days but like everyone I fail. So, thanks so much for the reminder!!

    1. Hey Katie,
Thanks so much for visiting. I think this is something we all tend to forget to do. I have to remind myself to do this often. We tend to get down on ourselves if we only look at the end result which may be so very far away. Celebrating the small wins along the way make the end result not look so far down the road. Hope you enjoy your week. 🙂

  2. Oh man, I don’t even know how many times I’ve hit a speed bump and figured it was just to hard and gave up. It’s really nice to be reminded to “celebrate the small wins” . I have just recently changed my thinking to be more positive and not get discouraged when there is a obstacle in my way. Thanks for this.

  3. Hi
You are so right. If we think positive, positive stuff will happen. It does not mean no more negative, but a positive mind helps deal with the negative and , at the end the negative does not look as bad.
Lets celebrate the small wins like you said.

    1. Exactly! There is so much negative in the world already. Let’s make a change. 🙂 Baby steps right?
Thanks so much for visiting. Hope you return often. ~Cary

  4. Absolutely right, although I admit that I actually jumped off the horse in fright as he bolted and never got back on again!!! You’re quite right, I’ve also been too afraid to learn how to drive a car and it IS getting worse because I haven’t actually tried it! We need to conquer our fears and get over them. It’s just so hard to push through. Do you have any tips for how to get past those fears? Sometimes it even keeps me awake at night!

    1. Emma,
You are so right about being difficult to push through what seems near impossible. I will be touching on some very beneficial ways to do just that in my next few posts. I hope to see you back. Perhaps some of the ideas will help? I hope you enjoy your day and have a very productive week. Maybe start by just sitting in the drivers seat and familiarizing yourself with the equipment. Then have a very relaxed but good driver take you on some backroads or big parking lots to practice. You’ve got this!!!!!

  5. Love the post.
Life is so much fun when we remember that life is meant for living!
Like you said, we can take anything and look at either the positive or negative side of it, and by doing so, we would experience the feeling associated with that. So let’s choose to look at the positive!

I’m celebrating today the fact that I could have slept one hour more in the morning and woke up refreshed.
    What are you celebrating today?

    1. I love your attitude! So Very True. I’m celebrating the fact that although my daughter was 7 mn late to school this morning because her car is in the shop and I had to bring her and couldn’t find my keys in time. 🙁 My daughter did find them so she didn’t have to walk to school in the cold wind this morning which would have made her even more late. 😉 ~Cary
